Tama Sumo has been a prominent member of Berlin's club scene for going on two decades now. Berghain/Panorama Bar, one of Berlin's most famous clubs, has been lucky to call Kerstin Egert a resident DJ since its inception, and with her stunning mixes for Resident Advisor and FACT over the last couple of years, her audience has grown to an international scale. With very little production work and no solo releases to her name, Tama Sumo is the rare electronic artist who is mostly "just a DJ," but she certainly works a whole lot of magic with that role.In quite a rare treat for those of us over on this side of the pop, the DJ has announced a short string of US tour dates. First, she'll be heading to Chicago's Smart Bar with Matrixxman; then, she'll go to Pittsburgh to play Hot Mass, before finishing things up at Brooklyn's New York.
