This Eelke Kleijn Mix is 60 Minutes of Moody, Underground House Music

Eelke Kleijn is on the up. With releases already on Ultra, EMI, Eskimo, Spinnin' and Suara, in addition to scoring work on movies like Wrath of the Titans and Rush, the Dutchman's musical ability seems to know no bounds. It turns out he's no slouch behind the decks either. We've got the exclusive on a 61 minute mix that careens through 11 tracks of moody house tunes. The mix features many of Kleijn's own works amidst tunes from SBTRKT, Ane Brun, Oliver Giacomotto, and Fat Sushi.

"For this mix I wanted to keep a nice vibe going between underground house music and some more recognisable records and classics," Kleijn tells THUMP. "I also used my brand-new bootleg of "The Hanging Tree" by James Newton Howard ft. Jennifer Lawrence." The mix maintains an air of underground moodiness throughout and gives all the tracks a chance to breathe. The control of vibe is masterful and the patience of his selections is noteworthy.
