"Hologlyphs" Proves that JaysWays is Australia's Answer to Jai Paul

Dive in on the third taste of the young producer's upcoming LP.

With a production style that drips elegance, sex, and transfixes you into a dreamlike state, it's hard to believe that Jay Cooper, the creative force behind experimental electronic dance project JaysWays is fresh out of high school. His latest release "Hologlyphs" is the third taste off his upcoming debut LP Sentrient, and sitting alongside the likes of inc. and Jai Paul in terms of aural texture.

Making music to keep sanity, Jay has conjured a fantasy projection of himself where he can be whatever he truly wants. "JaysWays reflects me on a personal level," Copper says. "It's a way to keep myself focused and help me cope through times when they feel cold and lonely. It's easier to keep a level head when you put that light in the distance. It's my self-expression, release of negativity and something that better represents me vs. my skills. I'm singing more, becoming more comfortable. This album has been two years in the making, but it's a collection of ideas and concepts that started about 5 years ago. There's a fantasy element to the music, and the characters represent idealism and fulfilment of childhood dreams. It's been a process, always striving to do better, self-improvement. It's generally frustrating before it eventually becomes rewarding."
