MIXED BY Bird Peterson

The man behind the genre-defining Drankenstein mix series gets us PLURNT up.

So this whole rap-rave thing—you know, getting PLURNT? Bumping TRILLectro? Yeah, that's all Bird Peterson's fault. Back in 2010, when trap still meant Three Six Mafia and not Knife Party, Peterson and Mad Decent dropped the Drankenstein mixtape that flipped dirty South classics into synth-saturated emotional trance joints. In other words, he changed the game for good and has since mixed up four more Drankenstein tapes which have attained their spot in the hall of "mixes we'll remember for the next ten years maybe." Fast forward to 2013 and we're lucky to have Bird take a swing at our mix series, blending a ton of his own remixes and edits with those of his crunk contemporaries. Oh also, holy shit—his Kendrick Lamar remix?! Have you even heard this yet?!
