The Canadian king of electro, Tiga, is a pretty lucky bloke. Firstly, he's got a fantastic name (imagine living your life actually being called Tiga James Sontag). Secondly, he's the only one of the electroclash crew to sustain a career past, oooh, 2004. Thirdly, he's an incredible DJ and a wonderful producer. Every morning we wake and pray to the lord that one day we'll have a life as good as Tiga's.Still, if we can't actually literally transmogrify into the man himself —and we don't think science, as wonderful as it is, has reached those specific capabilities yet — then we'll have to make do with catching him in the club. Tiga's renown as a DJ goes without saying, and seriously, if you've not banged out his imperious DJ Kicks mix in a while then rectify that right this second, but his prowess as a live performer is yet to be tested to the max.Those of you lucky enough to have spent a few days basking in the glow of a Catalan summer at Sonar last month might have caught Tiga's new live show. The show sees him joined by Jori Hulkkonen for an AV spectacular. The visuals have been handled by design collective Pfadfinderai, and French director Helmi, who created the visuals and directed Tiga's widely acclaimed Bugatti video. The whole shebang's come together with help from super-producer and Madonna-collaborator Stuart Price.If you're as excited as we are by all that, why not had down to London's Village Underground on the 24th of October to experience Tiga's first ever London live show. The lovely lads at Bugged Out! have decided to bring him over for what's sure to be a night to remember.
