Tom Demac's Jacking House Remix of Tosca's "Crazy Love" is Crazy Good

A track that would be comfortable in a sci-fi movie where everyone's macking on each other in pleather onesies.

Tosca, the Viennese duo who first emerged in 1997 with their groundbreaking Opera album, are back with a new album called Outta Here. Gone are the experimental sonic collages that the duo built their name on—replaced by slinky avant-pop, jazz and blues. "It's called 'Outta Here' for a reason, said bandmember Rupert Huber. "The title stands for change, a change to the concept we've had so far. It refers to a change in energy and dynamic. We've been known for an almost ambient sound. The new songs are much more beat-oriented and direct. Basically, it's just a lot more energetic."

The original version of "Crazy Love," a track off the duo's new album, is a smooth, funky jam best danced to while wearing an enormous hat and checkered suit. (Listen to it above.) London producer Tom Demac (Hypercolour, Pets, Aus) recently took his well-honed skills to the track, transforming it into a different beast entirely: a left-field jacking house remix that would be as comfortable in a rave as it would be in the soundtrack to a sci-fi movie where everyone's macking on each other in pleather onesies.
