Them Jeans' Winter 2014 Mix is Warmer Than Your Dad's Fur Coat

"During the 5 days a year that it rains in LA I usually clean my house, roast vegetables, and mess with a hi hat sample until I get pissed off and watch Netflix," says LA dance veteran Them Jeans. The rest of the country might not be able to relate, but when it rains in LA, everyone panics and hides under their bed until it's flip-flop season again (which is usually the next day).

In preparation for this, Them Jeans has concocted a Winter 2014 Mixtape. "Winter doesn't really hit LA too hard, but everyone gets a little more depressed, moves a little slower, so this mix has some darker vibes but still club ready," he explains. In fitting with this, the mix traverses some moody territory, from Les Sins to Bronski Beat to the king of moodiness, Thom Yorke himself.

"I have a short attention span with DJing live so when I'm making dance mixes, I get to let them play out longer and find new parts towards the end to try and loop or flip into a new transition," explains Mssr. Jeans. So put on your favorite sweater, knock back some mulled wine, and revel in your seasonal affective disorder to this mix.
