Steve Lawler's New Tune is His Holy Homage to House Music

If "That's House" doesn't make you a believer we don't know what will.
Let your body free, and float, it's out of control - Get on down, get on down - That's house.

                                                                                         -Steve Lawler - "That's House" 7:10

House music is more than just a sound, it's a feeling. It can take you places where nothing else matters beyond the beat, the lights, and the vibrations creeping up through the dancefloor and to your very depths. Steve Lawler is a DJ and producer who knows this fact of life, and knows it well. He's built a decade-spanning career out of turning rooms into arcs of house and techno transformation, as well as churning out enough massive tunes to turn anyone into a believer. His latest track for Seth Troxler's Play It. Say It! imprint comes off as his treasured sermon; a homage to the tones that have defined his career, and iconic producers like Kerri Chandler, Masters At Work, and Mood II Swing, who helped influence his sound.

As the A-side to his forthcoming EP of the same name, "That's House" spreads Lawler's experience in house to the listener through a rumbling bassline (Mr. Fingers anyone?), dashes of acid, and enough squelching synths to have you kneeling in prayer to your speaker system. Hit play, and if you haven't already, become converted.
