There are music festivals and then there are music festivals; Bass Coast is the latter. Located in the heart of the resplendent Nicola Valley in Merritt, British Columbia, Bass Coast is one of Canada's most exhilarating and eclectic festivals, offering up a series of innovative, educational and creative experiences ranging from music to art, to ideas and technology.

Alongside musical guests like A Tribe Called Red, Smalltown DJs, and Bordello, the festival also features art installations, performance art and a string of workshops set up around four stunning outdoor stages. Speaking of the outdoors, the festival's location is a visual experience itself. A far cry from the typical festivals held in crowded metropolitan areas, Bass Coast offers up a relaxing experience replete with beautiful forests, an open sky and a glistening river.

The festival has also launched a brand new record label, Bass Coast Records. Their first release is a remix package of singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Natasha Kmeto's critically acclaimed 2013 album, Crisis. Natasha, the Bass Queen of Portland, performed at Bass Coast in 2013 and will once again make an appearance at this year's festival.

The remix project received almost 200 submissions from producers across the world. Eventually, the label managed to narrow down seven deliciously diverse tracks. To give you a taste of the upcoming release, we have an exclusive premiere of the Sergio Levels' "Deeply."

The remix is a deep and atmospheric house cut that surrounds Natasha's ethereal vocals with a series of salient synths, tribal bass, and pounding kicks. The end result is a surreal and striking remix that conjures up images of an otherworldly after-hours club. Put simply, it's the perfect tune to get you excited for Bass Coast 2014.

The Bass Coast 2014 Remix EP will be available digitally and on bandcamp July 15.
