Murkage Dave and HeyGamal Have Dropped The Video for Their 2am Slow Jam, "In a While"

The track has been popping off ever since it first appeared on Noisey's '48 Hour Mixtape' series.

Back in 2015, we launched a new Noisey documentary series called 48 Hour Mixtape, in which we gave artists an alotted time to make a brand new mixtape from scratch using only their common sense, their most talented mates, and all the petrol in their car.

JME, Slick Shoota and Murkage Dave all took on the challenge, and the latter's tape resulted in a track that became quite the lusted after internet mp3 of desire. The song in question was a 2am slow jam made by Murkage Dave and HeyGamal called "In a While", and thanks to the popular demand the pair are now dropping an official release with the accompanying video below (directed by Marco Grey).

"We shot the video at a place on Derby Road in Fallowfield," explains Murkage Dave. "We got to the house there were still two kids fucking in the room we had to shoot the first scene in! That kind of set the tone for everything that happened after that…"

On writing the song, HeyGamal says: "I guess I've always written songs about heartbreak or failing for girls I like, but I had a crazy night on the strip that changed all that. Waking up next to stranger that looks at you and says, 'Oh shit, I have a boyfriend!' before continuing the madness, kinda switched up my content for a minute!"
