Killing It: Elton John Loves Disclosure, Ketamine Is Bad For You

The Live Forever edition of our weekly EDM gossip column.

There's enough gossip going around the world of electronic music that it probably deserves its own TMZ, Gawker, and Perez Hilton. We keep track of the drama, the beef, the LOLs, the dramatic build-ups, and the tragic drops so you don't have to. Now, let's see who killed it this week.

GUESS WHO'S BACK?

MINISTRY OF SOUND SUES SPOTIFY
Sooooo, dance music label Ministry of Sound is suing Spotify for copyright infringement because Spotify will not delete user playlists that mimic MoS's compilations. Tricky! Things are getting complicated.

SORRY LANCE BASS
Afrojack says somewhere that he wants to go into space. News gets out that Afrojack wants to go to space. Afrojack denies it and says it's a rumor. An Afrojack representative told Mixmag "They are still unsure of where the story came from and are looking into it." It all ends with a "cool story bro" and the fact that Afrojack has representatives. Now we're all confused.

ELTON JOHN LOVES DISCLOSURE
Elton John told the world that he is a Disclosure fan while winning a Brits Icon Award this week. We are obviously never getting rid of these dudes, huh? Just go and buy the CD for your mum already and get it over with. Also congrats to Elton John.

FOREVER OLD
If you want to get turnt, rage, YOLO, and stay young forever then you probably shouldn't do ketamine. A study was done last week that found ketamine users to have the same liver as 60-year-old alcohol abusers. Sounds promising right? Let's stick to not doing drugs like we already promised.

PROPER VILLAINS GIVES US HIS GUIDE TO DOING MOLLY
After the incedents of last weekend and all of the Internet backlash, Proper Villains went on an epic rant on his Facebook page. Now Facebook thinks he's a drug addict and people know how old he is, but that's cool, we still love him. Read his guide to doing Molly here on Do Androids Dance.

DANCE FOREVER
This week Societe Perrier gave us their list of "50 DJs Over 50 Who Are Still Killing It" and it's a great list indeed. These guys were definitely not doing any ketamine. They're ones to look up to.
