Arp Aubert Is a Low Key Hero of Hamburg House

Featuring Romare, HNNY, and Lapalux, the Mirau Musik head's exclusive guest mix is a classy affair.

From Boys Noize to Diynamic, Hamburg, Germany maintains a sterling reputation in dance music. Mirau Musik head Arp Aubert fits right in amongst his much lauded peers thanks to a catalogue of tunes that has earned his label's motto of "not mass, but class" as they've released tunes by acts like Mano Le Tough and Iron Curtis.

Arp Aubert's last release, Moshislongo EP, released on Ki Records, was featured on THUMP to much acclaim, and we tracked down the Hamburger for more.

Even without prior collaborator Tensnake, Stephan Lorenz's tunes and selections as Arp Aubert maintain the aura of Hamburg house: thoughtful, on the deeper side, and always weaving an aesthetic narrative that appeals to the cerebral as much as the visceral.

Take a look at this tracklist if you're not convinced: Romare, HNNY, Lapalux, Aubert himself sits amongst unearthed gems like Dressin Red's "Our Love" and Mirau label mates Janis and Good Guy Mikesh.
