If there's ever been a more accurate descriptor on an artist's Facebook "about" section, you let us know, because DJ Vadim's nails it. Born in what was once the USSR, now Saint Petersburg, Russia, and raised in East London, the work of Vadim Andreev defines worldly eclecticism and sticks firmly to the no-rule book of rules. From spliffed-out dub, to organic soul, beat-driven hip-hop, and straight up bass, there's something or everything in Vadim's musical output. Also if you were wondering, it's pronounced va-DEEM.

Just a year ago the artist dropped his album, Dubcatcher, a collaborative-fueled run through carefree reggae rhythms and just this week, he's jumped straight back into our earholes with the release of Grow Slow, an album recorded alongside Ghana-born artist Sena, who collaborated with Vadim on his previous release. It's the most soul-tinged, blissed-out dub music being made at the moment.

To celebrate the release, Big Daddy Vad has rolled us up a tantalizing ON DECK, packed to the glue strip with cuts from his new LP, some hip-hop chillers, yummy soul and dub, and a couple of his recent remixes. Kick back, relax, and get yourself friendly with this one.
