Antony, HudMo, and 0PN get Serious About 'Hopelessness'

Antony's swapped her Johnsons for a pair of electronic visionaries.

This weekend Antony Hegarty took to Facebook to announce a new record including some surprising and exciting collaborations. Despite typically being associated unhelpful terms like 'art pop,' it is safe to say that the work of Antony and the Johnsons has largely focused on rock instrumentation and pop arrangements. Thus, it's very intriguing then that her newest album Hopelessness has been produced in tandem with Oneohtrix Point Never and Hudson Mohawke.

This isn't Antony's first hook-up on 2015 - she appeared on Bjork's sensational Vulnicura - nor is it her first time working with Oneohtrix Point Never. It is, however, to our knowledge at least, the first time she's collaborated with Glasgow good time lad HudMo.

Described as an "electronic album with some sharp teeth", and Hudson Mohawke has already reposted the announcement on his Twitter, along with a photo of him and Daniel Lopatin holding a bag of Haribo - making it an electronic record with some sharp teeth, lips, fried eggs, and gummy bears.

Hegarty has stated she will release the record under the name ANOHNI and the project is currently in the mixing stage.
