Bedroomer Playfully Probe the Intersection Between Music and Internet Culture

Toronto’s Bedroomer Returns With Their Second Dreamy, Melancholic Compilation

The strangest, cutest art collective in Toronto is back for their second compilation, Bedroomer Volume II, out on Thursday, November 26. A group comprising various types of musicians and visual artists, Bedroomer is connected by its members' passion for the profoundly experimental side of electronic and internet culture—and for throwing some of the most peculiar parties in Toronto.

We asked the Bedroomer crew to choose a selection of tracks off their upcoming compilation for THUMP. The group of young Toronto talent obliged and selected a variety of tracks—veering from the house spectrum, like Hudson Alexander's "Waiting"; to "Yuca," a collaboration between Meesha and Lum that features airy, earworm-inducing vocals. Though the selection of tracks shows the great range the collective exhibits, a motif of melancholy binds the artists, and the compilation as a whole, together.

Bedroomer Volume II is set to drop on Thursday and in preparation for that release, we had a sleepover with the Bedroomer crew. Watch out for the full feature, including a photo gallery, on Daily VICE and THUMP this Thursday, November 26.
