After sharing Fort Romeau's take on "Through The Yard," Los Angeles-based electro-pop artist Kauf (born Ronald Kaufman) has enlisted Alex "Agor" Cowan of Canadian duo Blue Hawaii to rework "A Ruin," another track from his forthcoming album, Regrowth.

"'A Ruin' really comes from looking back on a previous relationship and accepting my own shallowness," Kaufman tells THUMP via email. "A willingness to forgo my values, or what I claimed were my values, for physical attraction/sex. I was impossibly unaware of this at the time and had convinced myself that things would eventually get better, like I could change the other person into what I was really looking for. I was, of course, sorely mistaken."

The remix retains much of the introspective mood of the original, but introduces chunkier drums and sparkling 80s influenced synths. Listen below and purchase it via Kauf's Bandcamp.
