Mother Mother Gets a 4/4 Twist in BAUT’s “Monkey Tree” Remix

BAUT is bridging the gap—or at least trying to.

Vancouver indie-rockers/alternative poppers, Mother Mother, have teamed up with London-based BAUT to give their latest single a facelift—by the form of four by four house.

The British DJ takes the lead single "Monkey Tree" from the band's new album Very Good Bad Thing, and twists the tempo and adjacent sounds into a peaceful and harmonic combination. From the first few seconds to the very last, the tone is energetic and confident. It doesn't stray too far from its original work, all the while contributing a refreshing take to the Canadian band's indie-pop anthem.

The five-piece band from Vancouver and recent Def Jam signees have been causing a stir after their busy year, with it culminating in a Juno-nomination. The band is headed back on tour this spring, full tour dates are below.
