The Andy Krangus Collaborative Makes Hybrid Hipster House Music for the Soul

Praise Krangus, indeed.

The Andy Krangus Collaborative might be a mouthful to say (seriously, try saying it 10 times fast), but one listen to the duo's new single "Thursdays" and it's clear that their music speaks for itself.

The Toronto-based group consists of Will Melville and Jacob Waxman, the former a multi-instrumentalist/singer and the latter a house music connoisseur and in-house producer at a local studio. Their sound is an infectious hybrid mix of both skillsets. "Thursdays" is the first glimpse at their forthcoming debut album. The track is a breezy and buoyant journey through sun-soaked synths and sparkling vocal loops. It wraps the listener in a warm, whimsical blanket of nostalgia and exemplifies everything we love about the soft days of summer.

The duo had this to say about the LP, a four-year journey dating back to their days as university students:

"We've made all this music and it feels kind of silly that we haven't actually shared it with anyone. Basically we're super stoked to finally put this out and we hope some of the folks out there listen and like it! Praise Krangus."

Their upcoming album The Andy Krangus Collaborative LP is set to drop March 6 and will be available online as a free download.

Praise Krangus indeed.
