The Revenge Showcases His Sonic Psyche in "The Seed"

The Scottish producer can at last revel in his long-awaited debut album.

Fifteen years is a long time to be curating and cultivating music. Fifteen consecutive years of anything is bound to take a certain toll on a person. For Graeme Clark, aka The Revenge, it required a bit of a break.

"In the summer of 2012 I became ill after touring without much of a break for 4 or 5 years. I had just finished my old label and was in the process of starting a new one. I figured I needed a fresh start musically, mentally, and physically," says Clark. "I shut down my personal Facebook page, changed my email address, and started cooking food again."

The Scottish producer can at last revel in his long-awaited debut album Love That Will Not Die on his own imprint Roar Groove. Much of the release is a nod to the days when electronic music was still evolving and emerging, while still incorporating contemporary drum patterns and modern house music sounds. Tracks like "The Seed" display the forward-thinking style that is traditional to The Revenge's progressive compositions and repertoire.

"This was the first track that emerged and was symbolic for me in many ways. It helped set the foundation for my new label and for my live show. It seemed like a fitting choice to kick of the album," he says.
