Canadian experimental throat singer Tanya Tagaq has released a video for the song "Sulfur," off her latest studio album, Retribution.Much like the visual for the record's title track, the clip also focuses on environmental issues, highlighting the abuse of Indigenous lands through the creation of oil pipelines. Set to the Inuk artist's spine-tingling growls, the video features footage of towering rigs, tar sands protests, and congested highways.The video comes shortly after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's announcement green-lighting Kinder Morgan's TransMountain and Enbridge's Line 3, two projects that will have a major impact on First Nations communities in British Columbia.Watch it above and see Tagaq's upcoming North American tour dates here.Max Mohenu is on Twitter.
