Men Are Reportedly Being Charged 150% More For Calvin Harris Tickets Than Women

The Omnia nightclub's admissions policy seems head-scratchingly old school.

According to screen-grabs that have begun to appear on Twitter, it would appear that male ticket buyers for Calvin Harris' upcoming dates at the Omnia super-club in Vegas are being faced with a little bit of a shock. As it currently stands female admission to the club is 40 USD, where male admission is 100 USD, exactly 150% more.

Price discrimination is outlawed in many US states, including California, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, where altering the price of nightclub admission based on gender is illegal. However it seems that the classic technique of low cost entry for women, in the hope that it will attract men, is in full flow in other parts of the country. That said, the reasons for this are unclear and Omnia have yet to release a statement. This hasn't stopped the Telegraph, who first broke the story, from already landed on some slightly spurious conclusions courtesy of ex-Loaded mag editor Martin Daubney. In short: mens rights, yeah?

All that remains in a witty closing remark based on the title of a Calvin Harris song, so here we go: How deep is your love? How deep are your pockets more like!
