Scare Yourself Silly with the Wild New Video for Trends & Boylan's Year-Defining Screamer "Norman Bates" | US | Translation

Hitchock's back, baby!

If my memory is correct, and it probably isn't because nearly all my memories have been shoved out of my brain to accommodate shareable online music content, Christmas used to be about one thing and one thing only. Sure, you had the turkey and the bin bags full of torn wrapping paper and Top of the Pops and aborted games of Risk and the birth of our lord the saviour Jesus Christ, but the only thing that actually mattered was the fact that if you tuned into BBC2 at any point between the 23rd of December and the second week of January, you'd have a 98% chance of catching the last half hour of a Hitchcock film. The Birds! Vertigo! Juno and the Paycock! We scoffed the lot.

Then that all seemed to stop and the festive schedules filled up with tawdry repeats and that old Hitchocokian magic went the way of satsumas in stockings. Two lads looking to change all that are grime producers Trends & Boylan who's utterly terrifying "Norman Bates" is unarguably 2016's hardest tune. It's harder than the world's hardest men throwing each other about in a solid steel container. That's how hard it is.

We're letting you have an exclusive watch of the hack and slash video for the track right now. Fuck work off right now, stop off on the way home for a selection box, and tuck into a real festive treat.

The Norman Bates EP is out now Oil Gang and you can buy it here.
