New York-based DJ Anthony Dicap has made a name for himself with propulsive sets featuring aggressive club beats, edits of familiar r&b hits and off-kilter rhythms.When Dicap offered THUMP an exclusive mix in anticipation of his upcoming set at the CLUB GLOW New Year's Eve party, we couldn't resist. "This NYE party is special because four different parties are coming together to make this happen," Dicap told THUMP by email. CLUB GLOW will also feature a performance from Chicago-based rapper Katie Got Bandz, and DJ sets from Juliana Huxtable (who will also be celebrating her birthday), Le1f and DeSe.Dicap's said his mix is all about surprising the listener. "Playing a large variety of sounds & styles in one sitting (whether it is a DJ set or mix) is my way of fucking with the listener," he said. "I don't want them to get bored as much as I don't want them to get too comfortable."
