WHATS THE DEAL THO: 

The scene at Porn and Chicken is that there is no scene. The three-year-old Chicago party is a chameleon, choosing wildly disparate themes every week. One week you're at the Moulin Rouge, and the next week you're in Mad Max. Although one thing is guaranteed: when the clock strikes 2AM, shirts fly off and shit gets real.

I discovered Porn and Chicken through Krewella and their manager, so I knew to expect an outrageous, sweaty, and whiskey-filled night. But despite all the gyrating happening on top of the bar, the madness was contained. "We provide a safe haven for all things lude, crude, lascivious, and licentious," says MC Dom Brown. I'm not the only one who's been conned into this debauchery. Kelly Osbourne has shown up and R Kelly's manager can be found ferociously texting Jay Z to stop by Porn and Chicken.

The Porn and Chicken immediate family consists of the usual run of DJs, producers, party throwers, and life ruiners. Then there's the extended family of burlesque dancers, a mascot nicknamed (no joke) Chester the Molester, and the Porn and Chicken TV team Fly Kite Media and Mandi Mae.

This motley crew has turned nightclub Evil Olive, which despite the name is actually a pretty boring nightclub, into everything from a blood rave right out of Blade to a yacht club. One time, after decorating the space with sails and water lights, the Porn and Chicken crew decided they needed more authenticity. So they posted an ad on Craigslist for a yacht club meet-up and effectively trolled a group of hefty older men, who wandered into what they thought was a hangout for fellow yacht owners, only to be greetd by a bunch of raging ravers boasting sailor hats and smoking pipes in striped tees. "Strangely enough, a good group of them stayed," says Dom Brown.

Whether you're coming for the pornographic dancefloor situation or the headliners, Porn and Chicken is the kind of party where you might end up leaving with their motto, "SRTB" (So Ready To Bang), tattooed on you.
