Calgary's TEN X Nightclub is closing its doors just weeks after following a shooting that occurred there that left one man hospitalized in the early hours of January 10.The club announced the closure through a public posting on its Facebook page, with a notice on their website reading "Thank You For The Memories."Speaking on behalf of the club, TEN X promoter Paul Boodang told THUMP by email that the shooting was the primary reason for shutting down, and that the club owners are "just victims in this like the others."The shooting at TEN X, which was caught on camera by the club's security cameras, made headlines for both the brazenness of the attack, as well as the bravery of the bouncers on duty that night.In the video, a gunman exits from a car at the front of the club and begins shooting, seemingly at random, into the glass facade before being tackled by security. Two suspects, Mohamed Elmi, 31, and Mohamed Salad, 29, both of Calgary, were both taken into custody for attempted murder, as well as additional charges. Police are still searching for a third suspect in the shooting.Boodang says that all of the club's shows have been moved to other venues in Calgary."We're not done with events, as that's what we do best," he said.
