A Blast From the Past: Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta Rocked Joachim Garraud's Birthday Party in 2005

Garraud could afford the big guns.

In 2005, French legend Joachim Garraud threw a birthday party to celebrate the fact that he reached 1,000 users in his website's community. Those were the days. The most incredible aspect of the festivities was that he didn't even had to spend loads of money to have the best DJs over, because back then, they weren't world-famous diva spinners.

To honor the occasion, Garraud flew out a burgeoning group called Swedish House Mafia for their first international gig ever. Back then, the band included Eric Prydz, Steve Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso. It's hard to imagine the supergroup fresh off the boat from Sweden, because these days they play all over the world. We're used to their globe-trotting rock star ways.

Eric Prydz
Here's a clip of Prydz before he started producing all the weird shit that he releases nowadays.

Steve Angello
Now that Angello has tons of money, he's able to invest in all of his fascinations. Back then, he DJed for fun.

Axwell
This guy has always been a heartthrob, but now he's married and has two children. Back in the day, he was a simple man-babe who wore Polo shirts with another t-shirt under it
.

David Guetta
Way before he became the pop star he is today, Guetta played the piano and sang with the whole family at that party.
