A fundraising campaign has been launched by London club Corsica Studios cofounder Amanda Moss to help pay for her medical treatment after being diagnosed with a rare type of ovarian cancer.

On her GoFundMe page, Moss shared her story, beginning with her diagnosis—mucinous carcinoma of the ovary—last April. The general treatment for ovarian cancer, she explained, is chemotherapy, which her doctors told her had a 50 percent success rate. Because there's no specific treatment for Moss's condition, however, the rate of success is expected to be lower. "The Oncology team themselves told me that they would fully understand if I chose not to have chemotherapy as the odds of it being successful were so low."

Currently, Moss is in Germany undergoing experimental treatments otherwise not available in the UK. However, she adds that various supplements she's taking cost her nearly $1,900 (approximately £1,500) per month. Her treatments in Germany will cost $7,400 (approximately €7,000) per week for this round, which is expected to last between 6–8 weeks, on top of food, travel, and lodging costs for Moss and her partner.

Moss, along with Adrian Jones, opened Corsica Studios in 2005. The venue is known for its intimate capacity and has hosted artists including the Giegling crew, Chaos in the CBD, Red Rack'em, the Lobster Theremin label, and others.

At time of publishing, 700 people have collectively donated over $31,800 (£25,381) of Moss's $125,000 (or £100,000) goal. Donate to Moss's fundraiser here.
