Daft Punk and The Weeknd Are Working on Music Together So Get Excited

Following last year's Beauty Behind the Madness, it looks like the Weekend is hard at work on the follow-up to his best-selling 2015 record, with a little help from some French robot friends. As Pitchfork reports, Canadian R&B superstar Abel Tesfaye has logged studio time with none other than Daft Punk, confirmed by an executive from his label during a Billboard-hosted "hitmakers roundtable" last month.

When asked what artist she'd like to work with (which you can watch at the 2:39 mark of the above video), Republic Records executive VP and head of urban A&R Wendy Goldstein said, "Well actually, we have a session coming up in two days with the Weeknd and Daft Punk, and I've always been a massive Daft Punk fan. This is the first time I've been involved with an artist who's going to go and work with them."

The "Can't Feel My Face" singer also hinted at the collaboration with a recent Facebook post.
