UPDATE [February 1, 3:00 p.m.]: Babyfather has also shared a 25-minute mixtape on Soundcloud called Platinum Tears. You can stream that below as well.

Dean Blunt is a man who operates on his own frequencies, one that straddles critical engagement with his audience and straight trolling them. He performs sets entirely in the dark, frames Getty images as artwork, sells toy cars and weed on eBay, and can go from working with highly sought after producers like Arca to rapping over a self-production consisting of just single 3-minute sustained string note, which is exactly what he does in his newest track.

Babyfather is a project of Blunt's that gives into the rapper's more impetuous side. His newest track is "breeze freestyle" has Blunt spitting verse off-beat to a confusing fill of drums, and occassionally shouting out "Bless." Call it impish, call it stream-of-conscious poetry backed by a beat a la Gil-Scott Heron, call it a track and get on with it. But whatever you do, be sure to check it out.
