Back when Trouble & Bass crew started, the U.S.A. had barely heard of grime and "bass music" wasn't a genre you could buy on Juno download. Seven years later, the landscape of American dance music has changed entirely, and Brooklyn's T&B massive have done quite a bit to put the heavier sounds of dubstep, bassline/4x4, grime, wobble, and low-end what have you on the map—including being the first collective to bring names like Rusko, Plastician, Bok Bok, Skream, Skepta, Benga, Foamo, and Dexplicit to the States.

In celebration of seven years of ballistic heavy bass flavors, Trouble & Bass is going on tour this month, touching down in Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and of course, New York City, where they will be holding a two-floor event with old-skool rave act Altern-8 headlining on Friday the 13. Spooky!

In honor of the occasion, Trouble & Bass founder Drop the Lime drops this DJ mix containing all the wild energy of the crew's events.
Here's what he had to say about it:

"Having started T&B 7 years ago with an amazing gang of friends, time flies, and sounds evolve. But theres always a little something from the past that carries over to the future: the bass. In this mix I decided to incorporate some of the early tracks of T&B from year 1 to 7 with new influential and forward-thinking tracks from today, that are focused around the bass and sub-low vibes. Thank you to all the artists, venues, crews, and DJs that have supported us for 7 years. It means so much."
