Drum & bass pioneer and MBE recipient Goldie has a new album on the way, according to a post made on his Facebook page earlier today.

The LP, titled The Journey Man, is a 16-track triple-vinyl due out on June 16 via Metalheadz, the label he co-founded with fellow DJs Storm and the late Kemistry. It follows his 2009 album, Memoirs Of An Afterlife, as Rufige Crew, though his last full-length as Goldie was 2008's Sine Tempus.

According to Goldie, the Journey Man project was five years in the making, plus a "further two years mapping it out on various drawings." It was recorded over a three-month period last summer in Asia.

Along with the album announcement, Goldie has shared its first single, "I Adore You" featuring Ulterior Motive, a soulful drum & bass ballad as sweet as its name suggests. Listen to it below.
