Liturgy's Hunter Hunt-Hendrix Announces an Electronic Project as Kel Valhaal

Hunter Hunt-Hendrix, the frontman and primary songwriter for the NYC heady-metal band Liturgy, announced a debut solo electronic project today. As Kel Valhaal (named after a track title from Liturgy's 2015 album the Ark Work), Hunt-Hendrix brings New Introductory Lectures On The System of Transcendental Qabala, an album that draws on electronic influences ranging acid house to glitch and IDM, as well as Southern Rap to form a compelling sound palette.

Of the album, Hunt-Hendrix said: "If Liturgy is a vehicle for grand rock albums, Kel Valhaal is more low key, more of an ongoing flicker; less finely wrought, with more frequent and shorter releases, more variation, less consistency, more experimentation."
