She explains that the record is based around a night out dancing, and is influenced by her travels as a DJ.

Brooklyn scene stalwart, Jubilee, announced her long-awaited debut album After Hours today on her home label Mixpak. The LP autobiographically explores the moods and rituals of nightlife as a touring DJ, and follows a number of original singles and EPs as well as two Miami-bass influenced compilations curated by the artist—Magic City and Magic City II.

"The album is me so it means my whole world," Jubilee said in an interview with The FADER. "It's based around a whole night. Wanting to dance, deciding to dance, getting ready to dance, the drive, being on a dance floor, the after party, the way home, all of it. It represents Miami, New York, the places I have traveled to for music and all of my friends and family that have joined me on this musical journey over the years."

In 2013, the artist reported for THUMP on being a judge at the scratch battle-focused Red Bull Thre3style World Finals. She also told us about her favorite party that happened last year, and which artist we should keep our eye on the most 2016.
