Watch Swizz Beatz and Just Blaze Compete in an Epic Two-Hour Beat Battle

Last night, Just Blaze and Swizz Beatz participated in an epic beat battle for hip hop heads old and new. The two first announced the battle earlier in the week and no pre-made beats were allowed for the battle.

The battle, which was streamed live on Instagram, also featured a special guest appearance from Busta Rhymes and lasted for more than two hours. The battle eventually trended on Twitter. Swizz Beatz reportedly also dropped an unreleased track featuring Jay Z, Nas, Jadakiss and DMX.

Fans (including many in the music industry) watched at home. "I'm a church kid who just stayed up past his bed time watching this Just Blaze Swizz Beatz battle," wrote gospel icon Kirk Franklin on . "Hip Hop 101. I respect production."
