A second person has died from a suspected drug overdose following last week's Mad Decent Block Party in Columbia, Maryland. The 17-year-old male, whose name is being withheld at his family's request, was identified as a rising senior at Hylton High School in Virginia.

This is the event's second fatality from a suspected drug overdose, following the death of 20-year-old Tyler Fox Viscardi. Viscardi was rushed to the hospital after apparently overdosing at the concert, and pronounced dead around 9pm on Friday, August 1. Police are awaiting toxicology results to confirm the cause of death.

Twenty other concert attendees were hospitalized that night, many with drug-related symptoms. "After investigation, police believe the drug most commonly used at the event was MDMA, popularly known as ecstasy or, more recently, as Molly," the police report, released online, says. Police also cited 50 others for underage drinking, and arrested three others: two for assault, and one for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Friday's concert featured performances by Diplo, Wolfgang Gartner, Flux Pavilion and Sleigh Bells. Mad Decent's block parties will take place in 22 cities across North America this year.

Mad Decent tweeted the following on Sunday:

Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by yesterday's event. We are saddened by the news.
