Movement Announces Stage Times for 10th Anniversary Edition of the Detroit Festival

THUMP will be presenting the Made in Detroit stage for the whole festival.

Detroit's annual Movement Electronic Music Festival will host its 10th anniversary edition on Memorial Day weekend (May 28-30), and is celebrating the decade-long run with a staggering line-up.

Spanning over 120 performances across six stages the festival will take place inside Detroit's Hart Plaza. The lineup includes a Saturday night headline set by legendary German electronic quartet Kraftwerk who will performing their acclaimed 3-D show. Modeselektor, Fourtet, Caribou, Nina Kraviz, The Black Madonna, and Mike Servito are also among the many luminary names filling out the bill.

As an official media partner, THUMP will present the Made in Detroit stage at the festival, which will feature a Detroit Love showcase headlined by local legend Carl Craig on Friday evening, a Sunday evening set by techno pioneer Eddie Fowlkes, and a Monday evening showcase hosted by hometown hero and Detroit techno co-originator Kevin Saunderson. Other performers on the THUMP stage include Ellen Allien, Stacey Pullen, and Matthew Dear.

In keeping with its love of local music, the festival will also host Detroit-based collective Interdimensional Transmissions, who will celebrate their own 21-year anniversary with a showcase on the Opportunity Detroit Stage, featuring a headlining performance by Claude Young. Local labels Yo Sucka! and Konkrete Jungle will also host.

Other highlights include a performance by RZA with his backing band Stone Mecca, and a showcase by OWSLA, the label founded by Skrillex, which highlights a slew of emerging talent including Alex Metric and Mija.
