The Super Bowl is quickly becoming a prime time to drop a new track. And among those releasing music on the occassion of America's biggest sports day is none other than one of America's biggest comeback queens, Missy Elliott."Pep Rally" comes a year after Elliott's appearance at last year's Super Bowl, and is the first single the rapper has dropped since her and Pharell dropped the banging track "WTF (Where They From)" last fall. It is inarguably a song about the Superbowl, with an esprit de corps that brings to mind a highschool marching band and color guard rally. It and even features the lyrics: Bouncing and bouncing, now stop, drop and roll / And yeah we get crackin' like we up at the Superbowl / Aw, quarterback on the field / Football player running yards, got skills /At the ball game, pep rally over here / The band in the stands, shit just got realThe track will be played during a halftime commercial for Amazon's Echo which will star Eliott alongside Jason Schwartzman, Alec Baldwin, and Dan Marino.
