The UK electronic duo [Plaid](plaid thump vice) have announced their new album The Digging Remedy. Along with the announcement, the duo have launched a website where you can hear the album…kind of.

In The Digging Remedy website—made in collaboration with digital artist cabbi.bo—the user must "dig" through a series of a Triforce-like interlocking triangles. One triangle can take you to a full track, or a fake track, or a seven-second drone, or the Plaid merch shop, or to even more triangles. As you move your cursor around, each triangle makes a little drum sound—a snare tap here, and cymbal ring there—to add to the feeling of a rummage. It can be experienced by going here.

Interactive websites have been developed by a number of artists, including Nosaj Thing's soundwave generator and a Kaytranda online video game.

One of the longest running acts on the electronic label Warp, Plaid were among the earliest adopters marry their twisty dance tunes with a ornate visual component, including an audio/visual collaboration with video artist Bob Jarec that was developed in 2004-2005. The Digging Remedy is the second major online interactive site that Plaid have crafted, following a web app developed for their 2014 release Reachy Prints, which allowed users to remix in great detail the lead track "Tether."

If you're not in the mood for games, Plaid have also properly released the first single from The Digging Remedy. "Clock" is an opulent dance track that conducts a ensemble of bells and cranks them in wavering BPM times, and highlights what Warp has stated in a press release is a return to a Detroit techno sound, but "broader in scope, more luxuriant, more gleaming with detail." In the same prepared statement, the duo have also teamed up with multi-instrumentalist Benet Walsh who plays flute and guitar on the album.

The Digging Remedy is out on June 10 with Warp. Listen to "Clock" below the tracklist.
