Things have certainly changed for Los Angeles producer Sonny Moore a.k.a. Skrillex over the course of his career as an electronic musician. While back in 2010 he was a fresh-faced rising star becoming famous for his Americanized take on dubstep, now he's one of the most famous dance music artists we have, and the way he makes art has undoubtedly changed in the process.

At this point in his career, Moore is as comfortable working with Justin Bieber and Rick Ross as he is releasing all manner of sounds on his own OWSLA imprint, and this shift is bound to disappoint some of his fans who have been there since the beginning. Redditor ChipsAndDiplofound a way to work through some of their frustrations in poem form, and they've posted their opus "I Love Skrillex" online for the world to see.

I miss the old Skrillex, straight from LA Skrillex
Chop up the vox Skrillex, set on his goals Skrillex
I hate the new Skrillex, the bland beats Skrillex
The always trap Skrillex, quiet in the news Skrillex
I miss the sweet Skrillex, chop up the beats Skrillex
I gotta say, at that time I'd like to meet Skrillex
See I invented Skrillex, It wasn't any Skrillex's
And now I look and look around and there's so many Skrillex's
I used to love Skrillex, I used to love Skrillex
I even had the black glasses, I thought I was Skrillex
What if Skrillex made a song about Skrillex
Called "I Miss The Old Skrillex"? Man, that'd be so Skrillex
That's all it was Skrillex, we still love Skrillex
And I love you like Skrillex loves Skrillex

The poem, of course, is an adjusted version of Kanye West's "I Love Kanye" skit off The Life of Pablo, and we think the tribute crosses over quite well. Lest it be taken too seriously, though, the author clarifies their real feelings about the artist in a disclaimer: "I don't actually hate the new Skrillex I just really, really needed a break from my assignments and did this out of boredom while listening to Kanye."
