Police Issue Warnings After Two Overdoses and 28 Drug Detections at Australian Music Festival

Police have issued warnings to attendees of the Secret Garden music festival in Camden, Australia, after two drug overdoses and 28 drug detections were reported during the first day of the festival.

According to Operation Commander, Superintendent Ward Hanson in a report from the Sydney Morning Herald, drug detections included MDMA, cocaine, LSD and cannabis.

"Throughout the event, police will continue to target the use of illicit drugs and supply, dangerous and anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related crime," said Hanson.

In addition to drug detections, officers also performed random breath tests during and after the festival.

The Secret Garden festival took place February 24 and 25 on the Brownlow Hill farm.
