Skylar Spence's "Affairs" Video Is a Hilarious Ode To 80s Consumer Culture

ICYMI—check out the artist's jamming ON DECK as well.

Skylar Spence, the artist formerly known as Saint Pepsi, has finally dropped Prom King, his debut album on Carpark Records. Across 11 tracks, the artist—real name Ryan DeRobertis—explores a penchant for slick, high-fidelity sounds and cheeky pop melodies; it also features the artist's own vocals throughout.

Today, he unveiled a glitzy new video for upbeat album cut "Affairs." A medley of television commercials from the 80s, it's the sort of lighthearted take on American consumer culture you'd expect from an artist who's long been associated with the vaporwave movement, chocked full of make out sessions, sports cars, and a variety of outfits whose very existence is alarming, but also hilarious. Just like much of the lyrical content of "Affairs," this one's all about nostalgia.

Check out the video below, and if you missed it—make sure to give a listen to the awesome ON DECK mix that Skylar recently prepared for THUMP.
