​The Healthgoth Mix Series Launches with DMC Champion Shiftee

Morose never looked so svelte. Rinse this one in advance of Healthgoth's SXSW takeover.

The Healthgoth movement has gone worldwide. Even your mama's wearing black when she goes for her speedwalk. To most, Healthgoth is an aesthetic, heavy on black with inverted corporate logos, paired with a disposition that perfectly balances morose and jovial and is as prone to self-harm as it is to self-betterment. For Healthgoth OGs, though, the fitness aspect is a key component. That's why the Healthgoth.com posse have put together a series of workout mixes for you to rinse when you go to the gym to sweat out all those toxins you put into your precious temple of a body in the days past.

The first mix in Healthgoth.com's series with THUMP is a selection by DMC World DJ Champion Shiftee, the only American to have succeeded in the DMC Battle for World Supremacy to date. The mix itself is a clued-in selection from across the underground spectrum. Bass-heavy names like the freshly returned Joker and the garage-happy Champion sit alongside acts like Brodinski, Djemba Djemba, and A-Trak, while elsewhere, footwork acts DJ Spinn and DJ Earl lead into Wheez-ie and Cakes Da Killa.
