GoldFFinch - Unworthy [Turbo Recordings]

After some quality releases on Innervisions and Valence, Belgian techno duo GoldFFinch is back with a powerful new EP on Tiga's acclaimed Turbo Recordings. Centered around a cyclical vocal loop and some dramatic instrumentation, it's an emotional closing track if there ever was one. Is emo-tech officially a thing now? We'll answer when we finishing drying our tears. Grab the full thing on July 6 with remixes from Fur Coat and Sunju Hargun.

Killin' It: Photos from DJ Booths Around the World

What defines the world's favorite clubs is the atmosphere. Is it the dancefloor space? The bar? Those hot and sweaty bodies that are bumping and grinding against your own? Probably. But what really is fueling your club experience happens in the DJ booth. Check out these pics of booths from top nightclubs around the globe.

Sydney's Golden Features Just Turned On God-mode with His Latest EP, 'XXIV'

Having dropped a monumental EP last year out of nowhere, Golden Features just followed up the hype by turning on god-mode with his follow-up EPXXIV, and we have the stream to prove it. The dark and brooding basslines in these four tracks prove that this is what has been missing in today's house music. Check out an interview with the man behind these haunting sounds.

Glasgow's General Ludd are back with a freaked-the- fuck out EP on Doc Daneeka and Ian Teti's Ten Thousand Yen imprint. Our favorite tune 'Wigu Hill' is more chopped than Soundstream in a blender with 20' drum hits sprinkled on the tracky foundation that should do things to bodies.

This Qgom Mix From Spoek Mathambo Is Master Class in Your New Favorite Genre

Qgom, in case you didn't know, is a growing subgenre of South African house coming straight out of Durban and the focus of our recent documentary series The Future Sound of Mzansi. To accompany the doc, filmmaker and producer Spoek Mathambo has mixed just over 38 minutes of qgom's most fire tracks. Rough and slow, just like you like it, this tracklist combines the drum-focused Qgom beats with high-quality sound, producing a real gem.

The Witch House Movement Is Still Huge in Russia

Where do teens, drugs, and HIV jokes all come together into one strange, dark, and seemingly fascinating musical movement? Russia, duh. Even though it started back in 2009 in NYC being heralded by DJs like Pictureplane. Today, the witch house movement is still very much a thing in Russia and continues to get stranger, being led by DJs, fans, and parties, who all remain obsessed with its synth-laden goth music.

Check Out Rust From Akase Midland's New Collab with Robbie Redway

AKASE is the creative child begotten by the collaboration between producer Midland and singer/songwriter Robbie Redway. "Rust" is the debut single from their coming album of the same name. The song focuses on the interplay of melodies and rhythm: "for us, the movements of the dancer juxtaposed with the beautifully shot cityscapes perfectly capture this"

Butch Is a Fluid Connector of House and Techno Music

In celebration of Butch's stateside jaunt, he's put together a debut selection for THUMP. Just over an hour long, the mix has all the atmospheric drive of techno with the melodic interplay of house, and enough groove and complex emotivity to bring them both together fluidly. It's a fitting offering for an artist who has made his name in the margins.

Sónar's Metamorphosis Into a Global Brand Has Left Some By The Wayside

After a pivotal transition from bootstrap operation to mega-event between 1997 to 2001, Sónar's first overseas edition was in 2002 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Since that day, some believe the avant-garde nature of the event has been slightly lost, leaving many of its original obscure stylings behind. We dig deep into the festival's current identity.

Let's Play House co-founder Jacques Renault is gearing up for the release of his latest EP entitled Talk System. On the release's title track (that features remixes from John Barera & Will Martin), Renault showers the listener with some stripped down, yet manipulative and clever tones, luring us in with variations of sampled vocals and a steady bassline for the entirety of its seven minute run time. Following the release of his latest 12" on July 6, Renault will bring his talents to NYC rooftop club Le Bain for a set on July 10.
