Check Out NAAFI Member Zutzut’s Perfectly Hard-and-Soft Baile Funk Edit

Ahead of the NAAFI v. Mixpak show at Brooklyn's Trans Pecos.

Mexico City's NAAFI crew has been on a roll lately. In July, they put out PIRATA 2, a killer mixtape of "Latin electronic hits for the dancefloor" that included edits and remixes of everyone from Drake to Rabit. It was also just announced that the label is getting a show on Beats 1, which is bound to be worth keeping up with based off the success of their recent NTS radio residency.

If you live in New York, you have the opportunity to convert your fandom for the crew to a non-streaming-based experience this coming weekend, and we urge you to do so. This Saturday, Brooklyn venue Trans-Pecos will be hosting a Mixpak v. NAAFI throw-down in the basement, plus weightless grime advocate Mumdance, Fade to Mind's Total Freedom, and a live set from Beatking upstairs.

To celebrate, we're giving away an edit of a track by one of Baile Funk's biggest rising stars, MC Bin Laden, by none other than NAAFI's Zutzut. "Tá Tranquilo Tá Favorável (Zutzut Tranquilo Edit)" matches the hard-edged funk rhythms with soft, lush synths, creating a soothing, euphoric ambiance that we imagine would truly hit hard in a club (Trans Pecos) at 2 am (Sunday morning). Get your ticket here, and stream the track below. Also, if you're in Mexico City, be sure to check out the second edition of the NAAFI v. Mixpak saga next week.
