My Digital Enemy Dirties Up Jasmine Thompson’s “Adore”

The songstress was ready for the get-low on this dirty house remix.

The role of the English songbird is one rarely left vacant. From Charlotte Church to Lily Allen to Ellie Goulding, there always seems to be a young woman with a heavenly soprano ready to follow in the footsteps of her forebearers like Dusty Springfield or Kate Bush or Adele. At age 14, Jasmine Thompson is young for sure, but her pipes aren't to be underestimated. Her single, "Adore" is a transfixing tune made more so by My Digital Enemy who give it a thumping dirty house remix here.

"We are big fans of Jasmine," the duo tells THUMP. "She is such a talented young artist and it was great being able to inject our MDE sound into such a beautiful song." The pound of the bass and the bang of the keys could have overpowered a lesser song, but even in her breathiest moments, Thompson stands up to it.

Riding high on the success of their own "Make It Through," their remix of "Adore" sounds like a perfect addition to their summer playlists (and yours).
