ON DECK: Kim Brown

Ahead of a gig at London's Corsica studios, the Berlin duos showers us with some soothing electronic therapy.

With releases on respected labels like Permanent Vacation and NeedWant, Ji-Hun Kim and Julian Braun of Berlin duo Kim Brown (Kim+ Braun—get it?), have a knack for tracing the smoother, more meditative line of house and techno. Tracks like "Rubies, Riches and Crowns" (from the latest If This is House I Want My Money Back compilation on Permanent Vacation) flow with the type of steadily progressing bass lines that pull you inwards, only to then release you with the gentlest of ease.

Ahead of a May 1 gig alongside Ejeca at London's revered Corsica Studios, the guys have put together an ON DECK mix that showcases the seductive style that's made them a regular touring act not only in their home country of Germany, but throughout Europe and abroad. Often the pair even casts the CDJs to the side to throw down some jamming old-school analog sets.

If you happen to live in the city of London, make sure to check out Kim Brown's set next week, but if not, this mix (packed with cuts ranging from Fred P to Erol Alkan) should provide you all the electronic therapy your heart could ever desire.

Unlike your overpriced shrink, this one is free of charge.
