From Jersey to California, Gazzo and Y Luv are All About Summer Vibes

Don't look down.

For DJ and producer Gazzo, when it came to moving to Los Angeles, it wasn't a matter of why but when. "Since I was little I always pictured myself in LA for some period of time," the New Jersey native says about his very recent move to the west coast. "Once I went there to visit, it all became clear to me: LA is the place to be. So many artists, songwriters, top liners and creatives are out here and now I know why. It's absolutely breathtaking."

Gazzo's "Never Touch the Ground" featuring LA-based band Y Luv, dropped last summer and became a sleeper of a progressive tune thanks to its anthemic and carefree lyrics at 128 bpm. The track gets a formal release through Casablanca Records this week and if the brand new video—with its scenes of cliff diving, beach volleyball, and bmx racing—inspires any resentment from viewers, Gazzo makes no apologies for it.

"I wanted people to see the life my friends and I live as inspiration and to do what they love or aspire to do even in the face of doubt," Gazzo says. "It's not about just doing action sports or festivals or anything specific but it's about going after your dreams."

In the last year, Gazzo's output has included collabs with Dani Deahl and Will K as well as official remixes for Jessie J and Echosmith. While his fans are likely familiar with "Never Touch the Ground," the summer vibes video serves as a good opportunity to push his profile to new audiences as part of a plan to make this year a breakout one for the producer. As he says himself, "I've never been more ready in my life."
