Jaust's New Vid Merges Moody Electro-Pop with…Slot Car Racing?

The tune sits within a catalogue that launches moody indie aesthetics over electronic tones.

Seasoned LA-based producer Jaust's impeccable dark-pop tune "We Need a New Life," featuring the arresting vocals of James Dean Wells, has been making the dance remix rounds recently with a classy house rendition by Xinobi and another by Jaust himself. The tune sits within a catalogue that launches moody indie aesthetics over electronic tones and he piqued THUMP's interest earlier in the year with "Feel the Smoke Rise."

Now, we've got the premiere of the video for "We Need a New Life," a tune about instant gratification eking it's way into every aspect of our lives and the inevitable fallout that follows. We feel you, bro.

The video is a curveball, though, a peek into the lives of slot car racers in the Los Angeles underground. We don't really know how they made the connection between the tune and the video, but in some understated way, it works. It doesn't hurt that the track is absolutely ace and the subject matter of the video could be a documentary within itself.
