Meet the Saddest Mime in All of Dance Music

All the Fitzroy North beats in the world can’t make her smile.

Impressively-bearded Catalunian beatmeister Fitzroy North makes tunes that skip from Skwee'd out beat music to electro-funk to straight up glitch. Whatever genre he's working in, it's always bright and glitzy and fun.

So we gotta ask: Why is the ladymime in his video for "Sunset Flux" so sad? She sits alone in the attic of an old house, staring at a glass of blue liquid like she's withdrawing from a Hypnotiq addiction while the surrealist lyrics of the tune pop up over her visage.

By the end, she's straight up bawling. We had woken up thinking we were gonna wear our sunshine sweater, but now we're wearing our sadness socks. If anybody needs us, we'll be balled up in the fetal position under our desks.
