Tennyson’s “Like What” Video Is a Tour of a Blind Girl’s Imagination

The track originally appeared on the Edmonton sibling duo's 2015 self-released EP.

After collaborating with Skrillex last year, Secret Songs-affiliated Edmonton sibling duo Tennyson (Luke and Tess Pretty) has shared a new video for the title track off their 2015 six-song EP, Like What.

Director Fantavious Fritz played the gently fizzing electro-pop track for Nikita, a 12-year-old blind girl, and asked her to describe what came to mind as she listened. Afterwards, he filmed everything she imagined, including a boat, fireworks, and a roaring waterfall.

Opening with a quote from British neurologist and author Oliver Sacks ("We see with the eyes, but we see with the brain as well. And seeing with the brain is called imagination"), the end result is a sweetly-affecting portrait.
